Policies & Procedures

Location & Duration: All ASB experiences must take place in Kentucky.   The experience could be a multi-day, overnight trip (ex: alternative spring break, summer service trips, alternative fall break).  Alternatively, the experience could be a recurring community service event (ex: Saturdays in Service).

Timeline: Funding is available October 1, 2018 – September 30, 2019.  Grants will be awarded until the funds are exhausted or expire on September 30, 2019.

Activities: The experience must include meaningful community service, reflection, and inter-generational volunteer opportunities. (ex: University students conduct a community cleanup initiative, inviting alumni to volunteer also. Afterward, they hold “coffee and conversation” forums to discuss the importance of clean, healthy communities.)

Applicants: Any department or individual associated with a KyCC Network Member (listed above) can apply for ASB funding.  The applicant is responsible for ensuring that the ASB experience is paid up front, and all required documentation is submitted in a timely manner.

Funding Distribution: Approved applications will receive instruction to submit a vendor form to Kentucky Campus Compact.  The applicant will then receive a vendor number.  After the ASB experience is complete, the applicant will submit an invoice summary and all receipts/proofs of purchases associated with the ASB experience.
