She also presented fire prevention and public safety information to students at local schools, informed neighborhood community councils of public safety information, and assisted in the recruitment of prospective firefighters. She retired in January of 2013. Her research interests focus on issues surrounding women, diversity, leadership, and how they intersect. She enjoys reading mystery novels; watching reality television; and riding her motorcycle. She lives in Cincinnati, Ohio.
