Kentucky Hunger Dialogue @ Bellarmine University

Bellarmine University 2001 Newburg Rd, Louisville, KY, United States

This year's event will be held at Bellarmine University in Louisville, KY on November 10th, 2018. The event is 9:30 am - 7:00 pm, lunch and dinner included. The event is located in Frazier Hall. The Third annual Kentucky Hunger Dialogue is a gathering that will rally students and others interested in eliminating hunger to take action. This year’s theme, “Steak Holders”, will highlight successful programs already at work in our communities. Alongside non-profit and state agencies, students from colleges and universities across the commonwealth will spend the day networking, learning, and building coalitions. Sponsored by Kentucky Campus Compact and hosted by Bellarmine University, this year’s Kentucky Hunger Dialogue will present tools for engagement with hunger on three levels: emergency response, food systems, and policy change. This year's keynote speaker is Ashley Smith of Black Soil: Our Better Life, an organization dedicated to connecting Black Kentuckians with their legacy and heritage. Join us in the fight against hunger!
